Our two little bunnies!
We had a wonderful week of getting ready for Easter here. Peyton was so excited this year. He has been learning so much about the Easter Story at Preschool over the last couple of weeks and I loved hearing him tell me the "lesson" from the day at school. He came home each day with a plastic egg representing the story of the day. So we started the week with decorating our own eggs with the boys.
Then on Saturday we joined in on the 3rd Annual Ridgeview Neighbors Easter Egg Hunt. It sounds really BIG but it is really just the neighbors on all sides of us and across the street.
It is amazing to me how many kids there are in 6 homes (with 3 kids still missing)!
The kids had a blast running through the back of our yards trying to find all of the eggs and candy. There was so much candy out there that there is a good chance we will continue to find it all summer long.
Peyton made off with a TON of candy. It is now hidden away in a VERY safe spot in the house.
On Easter morning we woke up and the boys were thrilled to see that they had baskets waiting for them.
Then we headed to Red Wing for church and an afternoon at Grandpa Mike and Grandma Jeannie's house. The day was FABULOUS!
The cousins at chuch by the flowers. This is an annual shot. One day they will all look at the camera and all remain seated but until then this is the best it gets.
LOVE THIS PIC!
After church we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for some wonderful food and an egg hunt. We spent the whole afternoon outside.
Love the tongue out... this is hard work.
For a 1 year old (that started his hunt about 5 minutes before the other kids) it was time to move on to other things.
The goods!
It was a hard day and time for a little snooze with Grandpa.

Peyton is 4!
Last weekend we celebrated our Peyton's 4th birthday. It is AMAZING to me that he is 4 ( I guess I just don't feel old enough to have a 4 year old...). He continues to have the bubbliest personality. He amazes me everyday with the things he does and says. He is so smart and asks so many questions trying to figure out this great big world.
When he woke up on Sunday morning and I went into his room to wish him a happy birhtday he said " I grew so much last night mom." He just makes me laugh.
We celebrated with a "Construction Party". Peyton had lot of family and friends join us. It turned out wonderfully and he felt very special.
His request was a dump truck cake this year. We had a great time "constructing" this party!
The kids all play a couple of games and played together wonderfully!
After the party the Asleson clan stayed around. It was nice for the kids to have some time to play together. These next sequence of photos just melt my heart!
Dont' worry Cara and Landon also have a budding romance in the making.
The two oldest ended the night by the "campfire", roasting marshmallows and all. I just love how creative they are together.

Spring "Stay-cation" 2011
The boys and I just finished our Spring Break. There was no big vacation, no flying south for our family this year. Even though after this long winter I was wishing desperately that we could fly away to Disney or something like that, but then I know that with the age of our boys it is not worth it. We are better off staying around home and waiting until the boys are a little older and they can remember Spring Break vacations.
So, we had a Stay-cation right here in Rochester. We kept ourselves very busy each day (almost too busy now when I think back on it). Here are a couple of our hi-lights of our daily outings.
Monday- Chuck E Cheese
This is something I SWORE I would not do for at least two years. Being that "Chuck" is new to Rochester and they are often directing traffic out of the parking lot because there are so many people there. But, Missy and the girls came down from Red Wing and Sarah Anne and her kids said they would go. I thought "what the heck". I am so glad we went. We had a BLAST. I was a little nervous when we pulled into the parking lot and there were 3 yellow Rochester school buses there. I thought we were in for a ride. But, it went very well.
Peyton was everywhere. He wanted to do as much as he could.
On the other hand Landon was not too sure of the experience at first. He was fine as long as he was in my arms (surprise).
Tuesday and Wednesday- House of Bounce
We were lucky enough to partake in two mornings of Toddler Time at House of Bounce. On Tuesday we met Emily and Even and on Wednesday we went with the Asleson family. We usually aren't frequent flyers but they boys both loved it. And for $3.21 for 2 hours and 2 kids to bounce you cannot beat that deal!
Landon was Mr. Independent on these outings.
On Tuesday evening we met the Asleson clan at a local hotel for some swimming and a sleepover. I didn't get as many pictures as I wish, but when you have two children under 4 it requires all hands on deck around the pool.
Are you sure we can't go in one more time this morning?
There were many more events and memories created on our "Stay- cation." I cannot wait until summer!
