Only One Week

Our New House!!!!

We are so excited to move into our house on Friday and Saturday next week. It will be so nice to have more room for Peyton to run and play.
Here are a few pics of the inside.

Foyer looking upstairs.

Main level foyer and stairs. As you can see Peyton is a huge fan of the windows on the side of the door because he can look to see what is happening outside.

Kitchen.
As you can see, it is not finished yet. Jeremy will be awaiting the arrival of the appliances today. Even though we close in less then a week there is still a lot to be done; countertops, backsplash, carpet, finish painting, sod, deck.... just to name a few. I am a little nervous, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Swimming

Peyton and I are living quite the life. We are spending our time outside. It has just been so beautiful lately. On Wednesday we went to see my mom and brother and spent some time in the pool. Peyton had a great time hanging out it his yellow tube and playing with his uncle Jordan.

Off to the races

It has been a long time since our last post. But summer is finally here and I hope to be better at getting more regular posts. A couple of weeks ago we met my dad and Jeannie at Canterbury Downs. Peyton had a wonderful time.

Peyton has now learned to point. He points at EVERYTHING. He saw the horses in the background and not only was pointing but making a loud "OOO", "OOO" sound.

Dad brought Peyton to pet the horses. As you can see he was a little reluctant.
The Asleson's also came along for the day. Jen and I learned quickly that a day at the race track with two 1 year olds is much different then the past.
Grandpa put a pair of sun glasses on me. Don't I look cool?

So wonderful!

Here is a picture of Peyton sitting in the grass at a park near our house. Doesn't he look precious? He is wearing a perfect shirt for this, "I didn't do it."

Picnic

We had a great Sunday afternoon with the Aslesons. We met in Cannon Falls for a picnic. It was a gorgeous day.

Brynn brought along her new baby stroller. She was adorable pushing it through the dandelion filled grass. Peyton thought it was fun to try to follow behind her.

We put them in the double baby swing. They both were laughing up a storm.

This next sequence of 4 pictures shows how both of these children have a mind of their own.
* Disclosure Statement: Peyton was not very good at sharing his toys earlier in the day.

Picture 1: Brynn finds Peyton with her stroller.

Picture 2: Brynn decided that she wasn't too fond of Peyton playing with her toy. So, a tug-of-war begins

Picture 3: Obviously Byrnn won!

Picture 4: They hug and make up- don't worry it didn't ruin their relationship. There will be many more of these in the future...

Boston

Peyton had his first big vacation this past week. We traveled to Boston for my brother Jason's wedding. Peyton had such a great time and he was a wonderful baby.

He loved walking in Boston Common's and the public gardens on Friday. He was very hard to keep up with at times.

Uncle Jason took us on a mini tour of the city on Saturday. We walked down to the Harbor. As you can see Peyton had a great time.

Mom, Dad and Peyton all bought matching Boston sweatshirts. We were totally tourists that day. Peyton by far took the cake by looking best in his sweatshirt (I thought he was adorable, but I am his mom).

Peyton got all dressed up for the big event. He was all decked out in his black tux. Don't they look cute together?

By the end of the night Peyton was stripped down to his vest because of all of the running around that he did. We tried to get a picture of him with his uncle Jason and his new aunt Sarah, but as you can see he didn't want to be held at the time. Jason and Sarah had a beautiful wedding. We are so happy for them.

One Week!

What a difference a week makes. On Monday our house looked like this:

Friday they were able to get all of the framing done on both levels, plus the garage. It looks like the roof will come this week. We are getting super excited!

Peyton loves to go over with dad and run around on the open floors. He also has found his new love of dirt and saw dust. He loves to play in it and take a quick taste if no one is looking.
