Welcome to Alana Marcia Mae Smith. She was born to Missy and Bryant on Sat. Feb. 21st. Even though she was early(33 weeks) she is doing extreamly well! Peyton hasn't got to meet his new cousin yet because she needs some time to grow first.

Boys will be boys
We have been spending a lot of time at night in the basement over the past week. It gives Peyton and Mattie space to run around. As you can see from the pictures below, Peyton convinced his dad to "ride bike" with him.

As you can see, riding bikes quickly turned into "crashing bikes." Peyton was having so much fun ( and so was Jeremy).

Keeping Fit
A few weeks ago we purchased a Wii and Wii fit. Peyton has only seen us play it a handful of times, but from the looks for things he understands what he needs to do.

New Addition
Here is the new addition to the Eckhoff family. We adopted her today (Valentine's Day) and her name is Mattie. Peyton is a little unsure what to think of her. He loves to say her name but backs away if no one is holding her. It will take some time, but I sure that the both of them will become the best of friends.

Snack Pantry
Last night after work I came out of the bathroom and Peyton was no where to be found. Suddenly he emerged from the pantry. His hands were full of an orange powder. I told Peyton to go and get what he had.
This is what he brought me. CHEETOS! I guess it is time to put the snacks up a little higher. I guess I can't really blame him, they are one of my favorites too.

Up to no good
Peyton has generally been a very good eater up until about a month ago. He was pretty intense during meal time and he didn't let up until everything was cleaned off of his plate.
Well, on Thursday (and Friday) I was off of school because of the cold temperatures. So I thought I would make something from breakfast that I knew that he would enjoy. Who doesn't enjoy chocolate chip pancakes (Mare, if you are reading this I know you are the number one fan)? He started off really good then he started to slow down about 3 minutes into the meal. I was doing some things around the house while he was eating. Everytime I looked over at him, it seemed as if he was eating because the pancakes were disappearing. Until, I caught him in the act of stuffing pancakes into the pocket of this bib.
BUSTED!
