Walking and riding...

We spent some time over the holiday at Grandma DelRae's and Grandpa Bill's house. We took advantage of the georgeous day on Saturday and went for a walk in the country. Peyton got to ride in his new wagon (it was supposed to be for Christmas but we broke down and used it on Saturday).

Peyton walking with Bill along the road.
We even got to pet some horses on our walk!
Great- Grandma and Peyton.

Turkey Day

After eating his fill of Turkey, potatoes, stuffing and pie Peyton headed outside at Grandpa Mike and Grandma Jeannie's house. Amara loved pushing Peyton on the horse swing out in the woods.

Waterpark

We met the Asleson's in Owatonna for a night of fun at the waterpark. The kids (and adults) had a wonderful time.

(if you look closely you can see two sets of feet in the air) At one point I wasn't sure if they were going to make it out of the water after the big splash.

Here it is, the 2nd annual Peyton and Brynn Christmas picture. I also added last year's picture. I am pretty sure they will have blonde kids someday:)

Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum

I am really excited for Christmas this year. I think it is because Peyton is going to have so much fun. He is at and age where he loves to be around others and loves to open gifts (as we found out at his cousin's birthday party yesterday).

So we decorated the house for Christmas this afternoon. Now, this is the EARLIEST we have ever done this but since we are going to be out of town most of the week next week we thought what the heck. We put on some Christmas music to set the mood and we got started.

Peyton enjoyed his first sucker ever! Only, they make me a little nervous so I made him sit down while he ate it. He didn't seem to mind because he was entertained by Jeremy and I getting the tree up and putting up lights.
Peyton even put some bulbs on the tree. He didn't quite understand that we leave them on there. So, he kept taking them off.
He finally had to be removed from the tree so that he wouldn't destroy it.

Playing with Grandpa

We took at quick trip to Red Wing on Saturday night to test out our new truck. Peyton loved playing with Amara and Grandpa.

He thought it was so funny when Amara pulled Grandpa's hood off his face.

Day with Brynn

The Asleson's came down to visit on Friday night and Saturday. It was so nice to have them around. Jen and I took Brynn and Peyton (P as Brynn calls him) to get their Second Annual Christmas Picture taken. The pictures were a bit tough with two toodlers but we really enjoyed having them around.

Sadly to say this is the only picture that I got of the both of them. They had a very fun time coloring.

Swimming Lessons

Peton started his second year of swimming lessons this week. He LOVES the water.

Visitor

Last Sunday Peyton got to spend some time with his uncle Davis or Dais (as Peyton says). He was a big show off for his guest. He ran around like a crazy man and also showed him his mad horse riding skills.

Little Stinker

Peyton had a wonderful Halloween. He walked around all of the houses on the park. We were very impressed with how well he did, and how long he stayed out. He did say "treat" to a couple of houses and he took the candy and put it in his bucket. He really had no idea what the point of the whole thing was. Since he has never had a taste of chocolate he was not a bit interested in the candy, but his dad was.

What is that sneaking around the neighborhood?

Neighborhood kids

We got a quick snapshot of the group of kids from our block. They were all so good with Peyton. They wanted to make sure he was included in everything:)

Peyton and his good friend Callie from next door. They have such fun together. It was hard to get them to sit for a picture.

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving this year was very fun! Peyton loved the seeds.

Peyton thought that he would take a bite of raw pumpkin. Yum!

We struggled to get Peyton to sit still to take a picture with the finished projet. These were a couple of the best shots.
