Snack Pantry

Last night after work I came out of the bathroom and Peyton was no where to be found. Suddenly he emerged from the pantry. His hands were full of an orange powder. I told Peyton to go and get what he had.

This is what he brought me. CHEETOS! I guess it is time to put the snacks up a little higher. I guess I can't really blame him, they are one of my favorites too.

Up to no good

Peyton has generally been a very good eater up until about a month ago. He was pretty intense during meal time and he didn't let up until everything was cleaned off of his plate.
Well, on Thursday (and Friday) I was off of school because of the cold temperatures. So I thought I would make something from breakfast that I knew that he would enjoy. Who doesn't enjoy chocolate chip pancakes (Mare, if you are reading this I know you are the number one fan)? He started off really good then he started to slow down about 3 minutes into the meal. I was doing some things around the house while he was eating. Everytime I looked over at him, it seemed as if he was eating because the pancakes were disappearing. Until, I caught him in the act of stuffing pancakes into the pocket of this bib.

BUSTED!

When I investigated a little further I also discovered that he had been pouring his juice in his pocket as well. Yep, that is pancakes floating in juice- yummy.

This is the picture after I removed the bib from around his neck. As you can see he as a little devistaed because he was enjoying himself.

Cup of Joe?

On Saturday morning I was in the kitchen and Peyton was playing. All of the sudden it got really quite. I knew that something had to be going on.
I walked around the corner and discovered that Peyton had found my coffee cup on the end table in the living room.
Luckily, there wasn't anything in it. But, that didn't stop him from trying to get at least one drop.

SNOW!

I brought Peyton out to enjoy the wet snow on Friday night. We took a couple of trips down the hill in the back of our house with a sled until I physically couldn't carry him up the hill anymore (it is a work out lugging 28 pounds up a steep hill four times).
He was satisfied playing on the back patio. We made snow angels and threw snow. His favorite activity by far was jumping on the HUGE ;) snow pile that I made for him.

Day with Daddy

On Friday Peyton and Jeremy got to spend the whole day together. We didn't have daycare the past week, so Jeremy stayed home for a day. As I was downloading pictures this morning I found out that they sure were busy.
As you can see Peyton must have made quite a mess while he was playing. So what is a dad to do...
Give him a broom and have him help clean up.
Next is lunch, I am glad I wasn't home to clean up that mess!

Buds

Luckily over break we were able to spend some time with the Aslesons. Peyton desperately needed some Brynn time. We headed to their house for New Year's Eve while the boys got together with friends, and then they came down to watch the Vikings game tonight.
Peyton gave Brynn a lesson or two on how to properly "Couple" the train. He is obsessed with Thomas the Train and I think he was hoping the Brynn shared his love. I am not sure she was as interested as he was hoping.
Not many people get the opportunity to ride in Peyton's Thomas. I think Peyton let her because he knew that he would then have Brynn's full attention to give her a little more information about the train is his hand (just like his dad he knows a little about a lot of things).

Relaxing witht the Asleson clan during the game.

The kids love to share a bath when we get together. Here they are on New Year's Eve. Jen and I always have a tough time getting them to look at the same camera at the same time.

Opening presents.

Both of the kids trying to crawl into Brynn's doll bed. Obviously that didn't work out to well for them.

Thanks to the Aslesons for showing us a good time as always!
