December 2010 in a Nutshell

December is almost gone and I haven't posted all month. There has been a lot of events over the past month that have made me laugh, smile and even cry. I have realized this month that life is really too short and it is important to take a good look at what you have and cherish it.We are so blessed to have these two wonderful boys in our life.

Here are some of my FAVORITE shots this past month as we approached, celebrated and rememeber Christmas 2010.

The Boys

We spent tons of time in the 42+ inches of snow in Rochester ( and got a couple of days off to spend at home too- I love being a teacher)

Peyton and Landon also got to go for a sled ride in New Germany with thier uncles and Krissy.

Played with tons of toys and opened up way too many presents.

Spent some more time with the big guy

Peyton even got to "train and ride" his reindeer.

(if you can't tell, Peyton is Santa holding the reins and Krissy is the reindeer)

We all also ate WAY to much food.

Merry Christmas 2010!

Naughty or Nice?

Who do you think made which list?

Lumberjacks

We finally talked Jeremy into getting a real Christmas tree this year. So, Tuesday night Jeremy and I spent our Anniversary with our two favorite boys picking out the perfect tree. The boys were thrilled to ride along side it in the truck.

Who Wouldn't Want to Wake Up With These Two?

Lately Peyton has loved to go in to wake up Landon in the mornig. One day over Thanksgiving break Peyton wanted to get into bed with him. I had to let him.

Walk A Mile in My Shoes..Or Boots

I can home from the mall on Monday night with some new boots. Peyton LOVED them. He loved them so much he ripped them out of the box and had to try them for himself...

Dancin' Machine

On Saturday we headed back to Red Wing to go to Sam's( my step- brother)wedding reception. We all had a great time. Peyton had the time of his life dancing to many all time favorites such as: The Chicken Dance and The Hokey Pokey.

Trees and Lights

This past weekend our family headed down to the Civic Center to tour the Festival of Trees. The boys liked the trees, but really liked the cookies at the end!

Happy First Birthday To Our Crazy Monkey!

It is absolutely amazing to me that one year has already gone by. Our lives have changed so much in the past year. We are so thankful every day for the day that Landon was born and how he has completed our family of 4!

We had a great weekend of celebrating Landon's 1st birthday.

There was some Cake!

There were some Presents!

But most importantly there was LOTS of family! Thanks to everyone joined us in celebrating our sweet Landon's first Birthday!

Landon's One Year Pics.

It is hard to believe that next week our little guy will be one year!

Brother Photo Op!

Last weekend we had Landon's 1 year pictures taken. We also got a few shots or our Big Boy and some brother photos. It was a cool afternoon, but the boys showed their best smiles.

Trick-or-Treat!

Halloween 2010 was a great weekend for the Eckhoff boys. We started off the weekend carving pumpkins, on Saturday we went to the 1st Annual Timpane Halloween Party and then the boys finished off the weekend with some trick or treating around the neighborhood. Unfortunatly, I pulled a muscle in my back bending down to pick up Landon at the Halloween party so Jeremy took the boys trick or treating and I spent the night in a dark house so that no one would come to the door. I felt a little bah-humbug but there was no way I could get up 50 times to pass out candy.

From October

We were able to snap a couple quick photos of the whole group at the Halloween Party. But due to the fact that there were 17 kids there we couldn't get them all to participate at the same time.

My friends Tricia and Sarah along with her little guy Maverick came over to trick or treat with the boys so that Jeremy had an extra hand if he needed it.

Peyton loves our neighbor Sarah and they had a great time playing aroudn as she passed out candy.

The boys had a great weekend, and as you can see Landon even got to enjoy one of the treats. Good think Mom wasn't there...
