July 2012

The 5th annual Eckhoff 4th of July Party was held again this July.  It is so nice to get together with everyone and see how the kids have grown each year.  Again, it was HOT out (like 100+ degress, plus humid).  We were very nervous how everything was going to go.  But Jeremy of course saved the day.  He purchased a HUGE piece of plastic for the back hill and turned it into a giant slip and slide.  Kids and Big Kids (adults) all had a great time.

The Asleson clan also had a sleepover that night.  It is always a great time when we get together. These kids keep getting cuter every year.  We are so blessed to have friends like them.

Jeremy and the neighbor once again put on a spectacular show.  Many of the kids wanted to view from the comfort of inside.

June 2012

I have taken some time- well like a year- off of the blog. To be honest I don't really have a good excuse except I just haven't taken the time to sit down and do it. So since it is Spring Break I have decided to dedicated an hour a day for the next few days to get caught up.

We had a blast kicking off summer. Peyton started his first week of summer vacation with Golf Camp. He was a year too young but has the drive to do most anything that he puts his mind too so they allowed him to sign up. He had a blast going each day with Addy our next door neighbor. We then spent many evenings with the two of them practicing thier drives in the backyard.

We also joined the Rochester Athletic Club for the summer to use thier facilities but mainly the pool area. This turned out to be a great investement because the boys and I found ourselves thier almost each morning or afternoon all summer long. It was a SUPER hot summer and there were some days you couldn't do anything else outside besides sit in the water. Landon found his love for goggles.

We also got to spend some time with Davis since he returned home from Kuwait in May.  Peyton and Davis went "frog catching" in the pond at Grandma and Grandpa Swanson's house.  There were many giggles from the canoe that day.
