Carvin' Pumpkins

Tonight we decided it would be a great night for carving our pumpkins.

Peyton was a great helper and loved to help me carve his.
He was so proud of the finished product.

It took a lot of takes to get a good picture of him with the pumpkins. He was about as excited as we were once we got a good shot of him smiling at the right time.

Jump Around

This past weekend Peyton got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Swanson while mom and dad had a "date day". He spent some time outside at the farm jumping on the trampoline. Look at that smile.

I'm Dreaming of a White OCTOBER!

On Friday we came home to a white mess. Although it was very pretty, I wasn't quite ready for snow in October. Peyton and Jeremy took full advantage of the weather and got dressed to go outside and play.

Peyton and Jeremy had a snowball fight with the boys from next door.
Jeremy showed Peyton how to make a snowangel. Peyton really had no interest since the boys were around.

But don't worry, Mattie watched and tried her best to do here doggie version of a snowangel.

Afterwards the boys came inside for some hot chocolate with mashmellows and cookies.

Cousin Time!

Last Tuesday Peyton got to spend some time with his cousin Kaylee. Grandma Sandy, Uncle Dustin and Aunt Ashley came down for dinner and some Peyton time. The two - 2 year olds had a blast together.

Finally Fall!

We finally were able to make it to the pumpkin patch this fall. We have planned it every weekend but it has just been so cold or rainy or snowy. This Saturday it was a perfect day and Peyton had a blast.

We started our trip with a fresh donut made right in front of us and man were they delish. Peyton loved every bite. As you can see from his face he wasn't letting any of it go to waste.

He had a ton of fun trying to find just the right pumpkin to take home.

Jeremy and P even found a few animals to admire.

Of course he had to stop for his yearly pose in front of the apple. He wouldn't look at the camera because the sun was too bright. It has been a long time since we could say that...

Peyton was all about stopping and posing for the camera. He kept turning around and saying "cheese" anytime we did something else. We had a great day!

Getting Ready

This past weekend we worked hard at getting some things ready for the arrival of baby Landon. Peyton has really not had any interest in this process until Saturday. I spent most of the weekend washing things that have been packed for a couple of years, putting the "baby gear" together and doing a little painting in the nursery.
Peyton was very interested in this. I kept telling him that this will be the baby's. So, he decided to get out the one doll that he has to test out a few of his old products.

First, Peyton wanted to change "Landon's" diaper ( note the baby is a girl).

Then it was time for her to sit in the bouncer.

Next, he wanted to make sure she got use to the swing (this was Peyton's favorite place to be for the first few months of his life). He loved to turn on the music while she was swinging so that he could dance.

This was my project for the weekend. We are "mostly" ready. The room is almost complete.
Peyton is starting to understand that there will be a baby. Although, he still thinks the baby is in his belly not moms. He points to his tummy when you ask him about his brother. You have to love the innocence.

Uncle Davis

Uncle Davis was at our house tonight and taught Peyton a new game. He slid Peyton around the floor on his pillow. Peyton just laughed everytime that Davis pushed his through the house.

But don't worry, Davis got to take the pillow for a whirl also with some assistance from Peyton.
Davis did have the brilliant idea to have Peyton ask if he could push me ( 33 weeks pregnant me). Peyton was a little confused as to why I couldn't lay down on my stomach and have him push me. He still has no idea that in about a month in a half he will be a big brother. Man are we in for a ride.

Helping Out

Peyton has been really into helping out with whatever his dad is doing lately. This weekend Jeremy was planting two new trees in our backyard so Peyton was convinced that he NEEDED to help out his daddy.
He worked very hard and made the same grunting noises as his dad when he was trying to get the dirt out of the hole.
He was so proud of himsef each time he brought a scoop to the wheelbarrow. He had a hard time making sure the dirt got in the wheelbarrow but he was proud anyway.
